vendor lime light: soundtraveler productions
A trend that is becoming more and more popular is using film throughout your wedding. Wether it’s in save-the-date form, something that you show at the reception, or a video of the actual wedding and reception to enjoy for years to come — there is something that a video captures that a photograph cannot.
Today on our vendor lime light we’re featuring Baltimore’s Soundtraveler Productions. Headed up by David Larson who also works for Baltimore’s WBFF Fox 45, is a very talented cameraman who even has a couple Emmy’s under his belt!
Soundtraveler Productions offers all kinds of film services for your wedding or special event and serves as a great memory for the couple and their family and friends for years to come.
How fun is a save-the-date that’s on YouTube? Cute, creative and refreshing!

David says he got into this line of work because he believes that every couple has an interesting story to tell and he loves giving them the opportunity to tell it through their own words. David is able to capture the couple’s true personalities that come out during story telling and all the raw emotions that he catches on camera. The end result can be a sweet and funny glimpse into the couple’s relationship that has resulted in a few happy tears coming down my cheeks… just so great to see two people in love.
I’ve only been to a few weddings thus far who played a video during the reception, but I will say they continue to stick out in my head because I really, really enjoyed it. I know this trend will continue to grow because what better activity for your guests to enjoy while eating dinner than to watch a short film on the couple. The film can explore the couple’s childhood and growing up years and everyone can learn a bit about them as they grew up (great for friends and family on the groom’s side to learn about the bride and vice versa!), how they met, their first date and a few quirks and fun facts about the couple. It’s a great way for everyone to get to know the couple a bit better while also learning a few things they didn’t know in celebration of their big day.

A Playground Love Story:
An International Love Song:
David is great at catching the little moments, which is one of his favorite aspects about his work as well. A quick kiss when the couple thinks they are alone, a raw laugh when they share a joke, or the look in their eyes when they talk about their soon-to-be wife or husband. I think this is great not only for your wedding day, but to enjoy on your anniversaries in the future and to share with your kids and grandkids.
