no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas to enjoy this fall
Ready or not, fall is here!! If you’re having a party at your house over the next few months, but aren’t a fan of the gaudy hallowen decorations, there are plenty of cute and chic ideas for pumpkins… yes I said chic! I’m all for a good old pumpkin carving, but with the below no-carve options, you can enjoy the pumpkins all month-long and save the mess for closer to halloween.
Happy Tape makes me way too happy! Not only for pumpkins but for loads of other things (posts soon to come). But use Happy Tape or other colored tape, as shown below, to spruce up your pumpkins. The spook pack on their website is only $13 bucks! The gang at Real Simple put these ideas together, and I also love the metallic options. Grab some spray paint from your local craft store and you’re all set!
The above display takes metallic to the next level by using stencils and shapes. The shelf is a great way to welcome guests in an entry way or on the front porch. Get your friends or family together so everyone can create their own metallic pumpkin masterpiece.
Dust off your bedazzler if you want to put some sparkle to your pumpkins. With glue and a few bags of jewels from the craft store, this is another simple craft. These would be great for an engagement party during the month of October!
I think the below bowl of mini pumpkins that I stole from Good Housekeeping are what I plan to use for an upcoming housewarming party. Just get some cute ribbon (or happy tape!) and put a band around the middle. Mix and match and put in a bowl for a great fall centerpiece. You can also use these for name markers on a table and send them home with your guests. I also love the use of buttons on pumpkins… once again… all you need is glue and buttons and you can use them as cute polka dots or for monograming.
Looks like another rainy weekend for us here in Baltimore, so have craft time and spice up pumpkins without the mess. I know Michael’s is having great deals this weekend so stock up on supplies there! Happy first day of fall!
