I don’t know what it is but whenever Friday comes around and the sun is out all I want to do is sit in a lounge chair outside and have a frosty beverage. Even though I’m sitting at my desk and doing work, I am lucky enough to at least be researching the cocktails that I dream of!
Katey and I are working with a bride and groom on their June wedding and are in charge of coming up with delicious signature drinks to represent each of them. How fun! In addition to beer and wine, or clients want to serve something to their guests that shows a bit of their taste and style. We’ve come up with a few options so far, take a look and let us know what you think!
For the Bride: She is leaning towards something with a champagne, you can’t go wrong with that!
Starlight Royale - A delicious concoction of gin, lime juice, and Champagne topped off with a splash of grenadine for a pink glow (dip the rim in lime juice and fine sanding sugar for a 1-inch-wide band of sparkle.
Prosecco Sangria – I LOVE this one! Who doesn’t like Sangria on a summer day?
For the Groom – He likes a cool and refreshing drink.
Cucumber Mint Gimlet - An ode to traditional gimlets. Swap out vodka and lime juice for cucumber gin, fresh lime, and simple syrup tinged with mint.
Grapefruit and Mint Mojito – Still a light drink but the grapefruit adds a little oomph. Hmmm, wonder what the groom would think about this one!
