a twist on cocktail hour
As I sit here watching the Orioles baseball game and trying to brainstorm blog ideas something dawns on me…frosty beverages….which leads me to cocktail hour….followed by creating a beer or wine tasting cocktail hour! Sure cocktail hours always contain those items but what about making it more of an activity.
Treat your guests to a mini tasting by selecting special beers or wines that go with your appetizers. Create fun signage showcasing the recommended beverage to be displayed with your stationary hors d’oeurves and mini signs to go on the trays of the passed hors d’oeurves. Don’t want your guests to miss out on all of the drink options? Work with your caterer and see if they can provide smaller servings of the drinks allowing for easier pairing!
