Lemon & Lime Event Design

Hello, everyone!  My name is Jessica, and I’m lemon & lime event design’s summer intern!  I’m so excited to sink my teeth into the event planning industry, especially with ladies as sweet, talented, and funny (I’m talking laugh out loud!) as Ashley and Katey.

I didn’t fall in love with event and wedding planning right off the bat – there was no dreaming of white dresses, pretty peonies, or perfect color schemes for eight-year-old me.  Rather, I came knocking on event design’s door once I was old enough to surf the Internet, where a sea of well-curated celebrations and styled soirees awaited me.  My personal philosophy is that the magic’s in the details.  There’s nothing like seeing special pops of personality and thoughtfulness integrated into a stylish event.  Just flipping through Ashley and Katey’s portfolio is enough to make me know I’m going to be swooning all summer!

Outside of the summer months, I’m a rising senior at Cornell University, where I’m studying Human Development and (unofficially) Communication.  I’ve had a chance to put my love of events to work as a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, where I’ve produced a carnival themed Bid Night celebration and have served as a recruitment party chair for two years.  Anyone who knows me knows I have a penchant for watching trashy reality TV (hello, The Bachelor!), carrying my camera everywhere, and staying up way past my bedtime reading fashion blogs.  I also Instagram pretty much everything in sight and wish real life had a “Pin It” button.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better this summer through the blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (and who knows – maybe I’ll even be working with Ashley and Katey on YOUR event!)
