inside lemon & lime: ashley’s essentials
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love finding out what other people deem their favorite things. Nothing super serious – just the little items that they consider essential to their lifestyle and that make them happy! I particularly enjoy finding out what creative people love – hence why I had to ask Ashley & Katey to share what they can’t live without! We’ll start with Ashley – here’s what she considers to be her must-have items:
Sunglasses
I probably don’t look as cool as I think I do in my aviators but I love my shades anyway! They’re perfect for people watching in addition to keeping the sun out of my eyes. And when I wear them at work events I can be checking the room over like the secret service and nobody knows.
Essie nail polish
I love Watermelon for when I’m feeling fun and spunky and need some color. I tend to wear black/grey a lot so a bright pink polish is a great accent! Mink Muff is my “I mean business” go-to color.
Pandora Radio
My current favorite station is Mumford & Sons; I blast it pretty much all day in my office.
Little Black Dress
I can’t help it: black will always be the new black for me. And if the dress has pockets . . . even better! Make it fancy or casual, you can’t go wrong with the perfect accessories.
Silver Initial Ring
Even though my initials have changed I still LOVE this piece. It was my mom’s back in the day but she gave it to me when I went off to college. Such a great design, people don’t even realize it’s really letters!
Sharpies
I don’t care what color it is but I almost always have one with me. You never know when you’re going to need to mark something up!
Flip Flops
I’d walk around barefoot if it was socially acceptable (but I think it’s frowned upon) – so flip flops are the next best thing. If I were writing this list 10 years ago I would definitely have said my Birkenstocks haha!
My MacBook Everything Apple
Being on the go all the time is so much easier when I can access all of my work/personal information from my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Not to sound like a commercial or anything . . . but I would be lost without them!
Crab Key Chain
Being a Baltimore transplant I quickly became obsessed with this little crustacean. My sister bought me the keychain before she and my brother-in-law moved to Florida, so it reminds me of them but it also makes me feel like Baltimore really is my home.
